Dr. Cumming has been our two cats’ veterinarian for over 11 years now, and she and her staff continue to take great care of our animals. Not only is she knowledgeable but she’s compassionate. We’ve gone to other veterinarians in emergency situations (outside clinic hours, needing an oxygen chamber for our asthmatic cat) but continue to come back to Hamilton Ridge for their on-going care.

*** UPDATE 4/11/26 - We adopted a senior dog about 10 months ago, and since then, we’ve continued to receive outstanding care and support from Dr. Carrie Cummings and her entire team. They are consistently compassionate, attentive, and always willing to help or accommodate our needs. Our senior pup has a heart murmur and Cushing’s disease, which can be challenging to manage, but we’ve felt completely supported every step of the way. The level of care, communication, and genuine concern they show gives us total confidence that our dog is in the best hands. We truly can’t say enough good things about the service we receive here. I have two cats, Mindy and Cindy, who received care as kittens beginning in 2007 at Hamilton Ridge Animal Hospital. Cindy & Mindy are now 18 1/2 years old, and I recently had to put Cindy to sleep due to end-stage kidney disease. I can't say enough about the staff and, especially Dr. Cummings Hembree who took time with me to explain Cindy's test results and offer suggestions to make Cindy more comfortable. When I made the decision to end the pain for Cindy, the staff had everything very well organized so that I could spend time with Cindy at the end. It was heartbreaking, but I am so thankful for Hamilton Ridge and will be taking Mindy there for treatment as she, too, has developed kidney disease. Mindy will receive the best care and Dr. Cummings Hembree will guide me on this journey.

My husband called the office to let them know one of our cats suddenly passed. Brittany who answered the phone had no compassion and didn't even ask what cat had passed. No "I'm sorry to hear about that ". Just like a robot gave information about options. We had been going there for about 5 years. We will no longer come to this office based on this experience. Wish I could give negative stars.
