Rude front desk employees.
Text me saying next visit was a walk in. It then back peddled when I walked in.
Text message from rice hope below.
Good morning! Bring in that baby to us either the week of September 7th, as a walk-in technician visit. Or the week of September 14th. His first, 2nd, and 3rd vaccination visits are walk-ins every 3-4 weeks :)
DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PETS‼️
After multiple experiences here, I feel like I have to warn other pet owners. At this point, I would never recommend this place to anyone I know!
One of my dogs had a benign lump removed, and they brought him back to me with a fresh surgical wound and stitches with absolutely nothing covering it. No gauze, no bandage, and no cone. When I asked why, I was told it wasn’t necessary because he “wouldn’t bother it.” Of course, he wouldn’t stop licking it, so we had to wrap the wound ourselves and go buy a cone to prevent him from making it worse.
The doctor didn’t even come out to speak with me about the procedure or explain what they found. The only thing I was told was that “it went good.” As a pet owner, I shouldn’t have to beg for basic information about a procedure my dog just had.
My other dog recently needed an allergy shot and was already extremely anxious being there. What I heard coming from the back was absolutely heartbreaking. When I asked why he was crying so much, I was told he “wouldn’t stop moving.” Why wouldn’t you allow his owner to help calm him down and make the experience less traumatic? Instead, I was left sitting in the lobby listening to my dog panic.
And it doesn’t stop there. They don’t keep your pets’ information updated even when you specifically ask them to, for months. I have repeatedly asked for information to be corrected/updated, and somehow it still doesn’t get done. Basic record keeping should not be this difficult, especially when it involves your pet’s medical information.
The receptionists, with the exception of one, have consistently had horrible attitudes. And don’t expect your appointment time to actually mean anything. You can wait 15–20 minutes in the lobby and then another 45 minutes to an hour in the exam room before a doctor even comes in.
There are only two doctors, yet they continue packing the schedule instead of spacing appointments out enough to actually give patients the time and attention they deserve.
Maybe other people have had good experiences here, but I can only speak on what I personally experienced and mine have been enough for me to take my dogs somewhere else. I want my dogs to be treated with patience, compassion, proper communication, and care. I shouldn’t have to worry about whether they are comfortable, whether their medical records are accurate, or whether I’m going to get basic information about their care.
Your pets can’t speak for themselves, so please advocate for them. Do your research before choosing a vet, because I wish I had!
